Last year we had hundreds of visitors to our Mélange of Tastes. This year, we will be collaborating with a number of local friendly neighbors to provide you with an afternoon of food, entertainment, and delicious wines.
Visit our foyer at 181 Second Avenue for a selection of award-winning wines:
RED: Meiomi Pinot Noir by Caymus, Tri-County Appellation, California 2014 – A rich garnet color with a ruby edge, the wine opens to reveal lifted fruit aromas of bright strawberry and jammy fruit, mocha, and vanilla, along with toasty oak notes. Expressive boysenberry, blackberry, dark cherry, juicy strawberry, and toasty mocha flavors lend complexity and depth on the palate. The well-integrated oak provides structure and depth seldom seen in Pinot Noir.
WHITE: Butter Chardonnay by JaM Cellars, California 2014 – Produced by John Anthony Truchard and his wife, Michelle, out of the Napa Valley, California. The name is both a combination of the first names of the married winemakers, but also describes the overall style Fruit from the winery’s favorite cooler climates in California produce delicate aromas of baked lemons, pear, peach and apple that seamlessly evolve on the palate with a finish that is uniquely Butter!
RED: Trapiche “Oak Cask” Malbec, Argentina 2013 – Purple-colored, the nose offers up plum and black cherry notes with a touch of black pepper. The palate is soft and round with ripe, saturated berry flavors. Finishes spicy and full with chewy tannins.
